Examination Procedure

At Delhi World Public School, a variety of teaching-learning methodologies, integrated with technology, are used to give students a holistic education making them independent, life-long learners and above all responsible citizens of the globe. To evolve the idea of technology as an effective teaching aid and learning tool, each lab and resource centre is provided with the latest and the best equipment.

Every student is encouraged to pursue their talents and interests in areas of academics, sports, theatre music, dance and other co-curricular activities. The student-centered teaching methodology includes the deeply rooted and time tested student friendly approach which works in harmony with state of art technology and modern teaching techniques.

Critical thinking is encouraged so that students can discuss topics with coherent arguments supported by evidence. Moreover, teachers know, motivate, understand their pupils and have a deep knowledge of the subject. Records of progress are shared periodically with parents. An extensive academic programme is planned and reviewed periodically ensuring that all classes achieve consistently high results.

Primary Years: Nursery –class V

The primary curriculum ensures the growth and development of aptitude of each child by giving him or her practical hands-on approach to the real world which awaits them.

Middle School Years: Class VI & VIII

The middle School lets the students become independent in their choices and confident in their self study.

Examination System

Class I to VII: The complete session is based on the CCE Pattern applied by CBSE Board. There are two terms in the session , both terms will have two Formative Assessments of 20 marks each, for every subject and one Summative Assessment of 100 Marks. Each test will also have the continuous Co Scholastic evaluation of 10 marks. The final result will be based on the following criteria.

FA 1

3 Activity based Assessment tools and each tool is of 10 Marks, with assessment rubrics. Best 2 Assessments to be considered.
10 + 10 = 20 Marks
Written Assessment Tool – Written Pen & Paper Test in form of weekly test of 20 Marks each.
FA1 = 20 + 20 = 40/4 (10%)
FA1 = 10 Marks

Weightage of each Formative Test FA1 + FA2 + FA3 + FA4(10 + 10 + 10 + 10 = 40) 10%
Weightage of 4 Formative Assessments 40%
Weightage of Summative 1 (Half Yearly Examination) 30%
Weightage of Summative 2 (Annual Examination) 30%
