GREEN SCHOOL

We are committed to instilling the concept of sustainability in our students and staff. Students explore the concept of solar cells and storage of energy via hands on experience in our labs and also take up projects on recycling and waste management.

BOTANICAL GARDEN

Our Schools have a botanical garden which provides children the opportunity to experience the magnificence and vast variation in trees, plants and herbs. Here Children undertake care of plants and learn about soil, flora and fauna and our dependence on them.

HOME SCIENCE LAB

Our Home Science laboratory provides students with practical knowledge and skills related to life in the home. Students explore issues of everyday life, nutrition, health, hospitality, improving relationships in the family, energy efficiency, waste disposal, etc.

MATHEMATICS LAB

The Math Lab allows students to explore mathematical concepts via games, puzzles and other modern teaching aids. In addition to teaching in the lab, students are encouraged to use lab facilities on their own to inculcate in them a spirit of discovery and invention.

LANGUAGE LAB

Our Language Laboratory is fitted with latest multimedia equipment and audio-visual aids. Students are able to practise speaking a new language, record their work and take part in interactive sessions to improve their language skills while enjoying the experience.

COMPUTER LAB

The Computer Lab is well resourced with high-speed central servers and the latest educational software (with adequate security and safety features). Every student has access to a terminal in the lab. We are also keen to teach children about personal safety in the use of social media to ensure that they are fully aware of the health and social risks involved. Parents can access the up-to-date progress of their children in each subject via the school’s website.

SOCIAL SCIENCE LAB

Social Science Laboratory has equipment, apparatus and materials required for each subject, such as maps, globe, ethnic artefacts, etc. to promote practical as well as theoretical learning. It provides a work space for students and teachers for interactive activities such as role playing, visualisation, competing/cooperating, problem solving or focus group discussions.

E-LIBRARY

In addition to our library we also have an extensive e-library which can be accessed by students from within the school as well as from home. Students use the e-library to prepare presentations of their work which also helps them to improve communication skills.

ARTS AND CRAFTS

In addition to drawing and painting students explore a wide range of crafts including pottery, handmade paper, recycling of paper, cotton spinning, weaving and textiles. Our arts and crafts facilities are well resourced based on Indian traditions and culture.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Our students take part in social activities and learn about our diverse communities and about universal tolerance. Examples include sharing knowledge with children who are differently able or are from minority communities, or tutoring peers who are academically weaker.

THE ATRE ACTIVITIES

Our schools encourage all students to take part in theatre activities. Students are taught drama through gesture, speech, song, story-telling, music and dance, thereby also sharpening their communication as well as public speaking skills.

MUSIC AND DANCE
